Audrey Sutton-Surak, D.O.
Dr. Surak graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992 and completed her Family Practice residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando in 1995, where she served as Chief Resident. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine as well as Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine and trained in diabetic education and treatment. Dr. Surak was a family practice physician for 11 years in New Jersey, caring for all age levels, before moving to Wilmington in 2006. She served as a Medical Director for Lower Cape Fear Hospice for 5 years before partnering with Dr. Marsha Fretwell at Health Partners. Besides treating patients in our office, Dr. Surak also provides patient care at Champions Assisted Living Facility, Davis Rehabilitation and Long Term Care Community and Trinity Grove where she acts as Medical Director. She also serves as the Medical Director at Plantation Village. In her spare time, Dr. Surak likes spending time with her family and friends, has started traveling and working out with her husband and office manager, Clem, at CrossFit.
Belinda McPherson, MD
Dr. McPherson graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 1993 and completed her Family Practice residency at UNC Chapel Hill in 1996. She is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. McPherson was a family physician with Wilmington Health in Porters Neck for 18 years and a primary care physician with the Veterans Administration in Wilmington for two years before joining Dr. Surak and Helen Martin at Health Partners in 2016. Dr. McPherson cares for patients in our office age 13 and older as well as rounding on residences and rehabilitation patients at Davis Rehabilitation and Long Term Care Community and Trinity Grove. In her free time, Dr. McPherson enjoys paddle boarding and any other recreational activity that puts her on or near the ocean with her family and friends.
Lynette Pearsall, FNP
Lynette Pearsall, FNP graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner from UNC Wilmington in 2004. Previously she worked 17 years as a Registered Nurse at New Hanover Regional Medical Center after graduating from UNCW with her BSN in 1988. Lynette has worked managing care at skilled rehabilitation and nursing facilities in Pender County since 2004 before joining Drs. Surak and McPherson at Health Partners in 2017. She now manages care of assisted-living, rehabilitation and long-term-care patients within the Davis Community as well as at Trinity Grove. She also provides care to our office patients for everything from a cold to chronic conditions. Lynette is board certified through the American Nurse Credentialing Center and a member of American Medical Directors Association. She acts as a preceptor to nurse practitioner and pharmaceutical students. In her spare time, Lynette likes to ballroom dance, participate in mission trips, travel and spend time with her daughter, Mary-Kate.
